North Augusta - The 15th season of the popular Wheels A Churnin mud drags hit the mud during this past weekend at the Augusta Motorsport Park on Dixon Road in Augusta Township.
Large crowds came out over the weekend to view the two days of racing featuring, tractor & truck pulls, 4x4 and ATV mud drags, ATV/MX circle track racing, snowmobile grass drags, 4x4 obstacle course and Wheel to Wheel & Tuff truck off road competitions.

Saturday evening, after the competitions were over there was a accident involving two men who were seriously injured when they rolled their ATV in an area that was off-limits to the public. Police say they were not wearing helmets.

Competitors came from all over Ontario and Quebec with two coming from the states. Wheels A Churnin organizers have been trying to attract more drivers from the US.

The Augusta Motorsport Park has two more Wheels A Churnin events scheduled for this year, one on July 24th & 25th and September 25th & 26th.
